Thanks for stopping by. I’m Oakley Burklow, and before we talk about insurance, I wanted to introduce myself and tell you why I do this the way I do.

Sapulpa Roots
My family and I live right here in Sapulpa. My parents also own DNT’s Lost Treasures, so this town isn’t just where I work, it’s where we are part of the community. My family have also been part of a church family in Jenks for over 12 years now, so between Sapulpa and Jenks, this whole area is home to us.
My wife and I met at Oklahoma State University, and once we finished school, Sapulpa is where we chose to plant roots and raise our family. We have two kids, and Sapulpa is the community we’re proud to be raising them in.
That matters for how I run my independent insurance agency. I’m not here to write an insurance policy and move on. I’m going to see you at the ballgame, at church, or at the store downtown. My name is on the door, and my reputation in this community means a lot to me.

Eight Years as a Captive Agent
Before I started my own independent insurance agency, I spent over eight years working as a captive insurance agent for a regional insurance company. I learned a ton in those years. I learned how to actually help people through claims, how to explain insurance coverage in a way that made sense, and how to build real relationships with clients.
But I also ran into the same wall over and over. When a client’s rate went up, or their situation changed, or they just didn’t fit that one company’s underwriting box anymore, I didn’t have anywhere else to send them. I could only offer what that one company offered. If it wasn’t competitive, or it wasn’t the right fit, I did not have more options to help.
I got into this business to help people protect what they’ve worked for, not to be limited by one company’s rules. I wanted more ways to help people protect what matters to them.
Why I Went Independent
In 2025, I made the decision to start the Oakley Burklow Agency as an independent insurance agent. The difference is simple but it’s a big deal for you as a client: instead of representing one insurance company, I represent you.
I now work with a whole lineup of top-rated insurance carriers and markets, so when you come to me for auto, home, life, or a business insurance policy, I can actually shop your situation around and find what fits best, both on price and on coverage. If your circumstances change, or a carrier raises rates or tightens up underwriting, I’m not stuck. I can move you somewhere better without you having to start over with a whole new agent.
Not Just Sapulpa
While Sapulpa is home base, I work with folks all over the greater Tulsa, Oklahoma area, including Jenks, Glenpool, Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Owasso, and Claremore. Wherever you’re located in Oklahoma, if you want an agent who’s going to shop the market for you and actually fight for you when it matters, that’s what I’m here for.
Independent. Local. On Your Side.
That’s not just a tagline for me; it’s genuinely why I made this change. Having a local, independent agent means you get the buying power and stability of major insurance carriers, but also a real person down the street who knows your name and situation. If you’d like to see how your current coverage stacks up, or if you’re just tired of feeling like a number with a big national carrier, give the office a call or shoot me a message. I’d love to get to know you and your family.
